Post Turkey Reports

My ex picked up our daughter this morning from my parents house. They left around 10:30 and I missed her by 10:45 :( She's such an angel girl.

I headed home a few hours later. Back in my neighborhood, I popped in the grocery. Someone walking out of the store stopped me as I was walking in and asked about me parking in a handicapped spot (I took the spot furthest from the door and made sure there were at least 2 other open spots - otherwise, I would've parked elsewhere). I pointed at the temporary red placard in the window and offered to show them my scar. They were pleasant about it but too damn nosey, in my opinion.

Lesson in Humanity - if someone parks in a handicapped spot AND their doctor has seen fit to give them a handicapped placard, maybe they don't need your attitude on top of their condition, eh? I'm trying to walk without a limp to continue to rebuild my leg muscles, but then with no "visible" issues, certain people seem to take it upon themselves to decide I must be cheating, somehow?

*mutter, mutter

On a more positive note, I got a check reimbursing my deductible - which means the other driver's insurance company is acknowledging fault. Hallelujah! That makes the rest of our proceedings pretty straightforward. Thank heavens, I really didn't want a big to-do about this.

MORE good news - my mammogram results are back and were good news! Yay!

News I'm not sure is good or bad ;) I finally agreed to meet someone for lunch tomorrow that's been asking for quite some time. I have mixed feelings about it, for a variety of reasons. More on that later. In fact, more on a lot of stuff later. I suddenly don't feel like saying more - or maybe I just don't like seeing it in print.

That is awful nosey of them! What a bummer. Good news though on your insurance situation - so hopefully it will all be soon behind you!
